In forest engineering usually (not to say always) studies and analyses the environment in which we are involved, and we are part, such as geography, water resources, wildlife, forests, ecosystems and society. And in this semester, I had to study a subject called Geomatics. At first it didn't attract much attention to me, but as I was studying I realized that it is very interesting. Geomatics is the science that deals with the management of geographical information using information and communication technologies. Geomatics is a very useful tool in forestry engineering. Through the Geomatics can be analyzed various environmental phenomena.
