My Auto Biography: Who am I?

My name is Laura Galaz and I am a student of forestry engineer. I was born on September 2nd, 1994 and I am 24 years old. I was born in Santiago, 6 years later I went to live in Marchigue (6th Region), and today I live in Santiago, again. I have one sister and one brother. My brother is 13 years old and he live with my parents in Marchigue. While my sister is 26 year old and she live in Santiago too. However, we don’t live together, (We get along better at a distance).

My hobby is oil painting for 15 years. I like a lot it, because it relaxes me. I can paint all day.

My Favorite Technological Device

My favorite technological device is my laptop, because I use it  every day . I can do many things with the laptop, from doing this post, various tasks, communicate with my friends from social networks, inform me about the current. Well, I practically spend most of the day in front of the laptop. Especially in this stage of life that I am a student. Another thing I love about my laptop is that it synchronized with my phone, and so everything is organized more easily. Ah! well and do not forget that is portable, which is wonderful. It gives me the chance to work and bring information to any place. It is amazing the speed with which technology is advancing, the world every day moves faster, and we are obliged to move with it. My Favorite TV Series

Today I will tell you about my favorite TV series. Well, this topic is a little complicated for me, because I am not good at watching series. It is difficult for me to see all the chapters. However, there are two series that I have seen complete. Avatar: The Last Airbender y Lost in Space. Both can be found in Netflix. Avatar: The Last Airbender captivated me many years ago. It is set in a world where the spiritual with the human is constantly mixed. The Human civilization is divided into four nations, named after the four classical elements: The Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. And there is an avatar that has been missing for 100 years, which will be in charge of maintaining balance and peace between the Four Nations. This series I like much, I think I have seen as 3 times. this series talks about spiritual themes that I make a lot of sense. And you ever saw avatar?

A Subject you Enjoyed Studying this Semester

In forest engineering usually (not to say always) studies and analyses the environment in which we are involved, and we are part, such as geography, water resources, wildlife, forests, ecosystems and society. And in this semester, I had to study a subject called Geomatics. At first it didn't attract much attention to me, but as I was studying I realized that it is very interesting. Geomatics is the science that deals with the management of geographical information using information and communication technologies. Geomatics is a very useful tool in forestry engineering. Through the Geomatics can be analyzed various environmental phenomena. For example, the consequences of climate change in the vegetation cover, the behavior of the species (flora and fauna) in a particular place, you can analyze different topographic features of the landscape that serves as support in the decision-making.
